Michael Lange OD Develops Genotype Directed Vitamins for Macular Degeneration.

Zinc Free Macular Degeneration Vitamins are here!

Michael Lange OD,  has been involved in the research and development of supplements for eye and whole body health for 20 years.  Michael Lange OD founded Fortifeye Vitamins almost 10 years ago because  he wasn't satisfied with the vitamin supplements that were on the market for eye and total body health. Fortifeye Vitamins is one of the first companies to develop genotype directed nutritional supplements for macular degeneration.  Michael Lange OD was involved many years ago in a study he called BLAZ study. This stood  for beta-carotene, lutein, alpha carotene and zeaxanthin absorption study. He did this study to determine if beta carotene was bad to have in supplements for macular degeneration. He found that the beta carotene decreased the amount of lutein circulating in  the blood.  The results of this study prompted the removal of all beta-carotene from Fortifeye supplements five years ago. now in 2013 most eye vitamin companies are now following Dr Langes direction and removing all beta-carotene too.  This year Michael Lange OD decided to develop a zinc free macular degeneration vitamin with no beta-carotene called Zinc Free Macular Defense. This newest formula developed by Dr Michael Lange was released for sale in October 2013.  Dr Lange has developed an entire line of supplements for patients with macular degeneration that can be recommended by their eye doctor based on weight, age, disease complexity and DNA.  The newest formula will be recommended by the patients physician once a simple DNA test result confirms the patients need for zinc or is determined zinc is detrimental to their retinas? Doctors that are making nutritional recommendations really need to be doing DNA testing to determine what type of supplement is best for each patient.  Dr. Michael Lange has also added a variety of other nutrients he feels that when combined are extremely important for retinal and total body health. Some of these nutrients in his Fortifeye supplements are Resveratrol, Green tea Ploy Phenols, Curcummin/ Tumeric, Goji Berry extract, Spinach, Kale, Blueberries, Bilberries, Pomegranate, Grape seed extract, Tocotrienols, Mixed tocopherols, acetyl l carnatine, alpha lipoic acid, coq-10, lutein, zeaxanthin isomers, astaxanthin, vitamin d3, b complex, vitamin c, citrus bioflavonoids and many more.  These Fortifeye Vitamin formulas have been used by 1000s of patients throughout the world and are being recommended by optometrists and ophthalmologists all over the world.  To learn more go to www.fortifeye.com or call 866 503 9746
